Orontes General Trading is the supplier of choice for Turkish products within the GCC. Our head office has been in Turkey since 2000 and we established our UAE operation in 2008, soon thereafter spreading our footprint across the region.

Supplying food and beverage products, as well as ready-made garments, Orontes works closely with many different manufacturers and brand owners, whether that be as a joint-venture partner, distributor or agent. We leverage our extensive distribution network and local infrastructure to introduce and grow brands into the region. That network includes all prominent Hypermarkets and Supermarkets and a significant proportion of the HORECA segment.

The Orontes story began when our founder, Cemil Adlic, relocated to Dubai. Naturally, he missed some of the high quality products that he had access to back in Turkey. In fact, he found himself relying on friends and family to ferry these delicacies back and forward when they went on holiday!

Having experienced this issue first hand, he set out to create a solution, and thus Orontes was conceived.

To start with, Orontes focused on Turkish bottled water. As our reputation grew alongside the burgeoning GCC economy, we quickly increased our range of other products from a variety of countries. In this way, Orontes assumed the position it now holds as one of the most important F&B importers in the region.

Our core value is ensuring quality control across our products and practices. We do this by implementing strict processes and controls when selecting suppliers. From water to cold cuts, every single item that we include in our portfolio is individually assessed, tested and stored appropriately.

This attention to detail and selectiveness means that Orontes has a reputation for only representing best in class brands and for giving them the best possible chance to flourish in the competitive GCC market.
